While water coolers can provide safe, fresh drinking water they are not maintenance free. Water coolers must be cleaned properly to ensure they provide healthy drinking water. Cleaning your water cooler is simple and takes very little time. First, check the manufacturers instruction manual for dis-assembly instructions. Once the water cooler is disassembled, clean all of the plastic parts in a sanitizing solution. Once the parts have been properly cleaned, reassemble the entire water cooler and allow it to dry before adding a new water bottle or connecting the water lines. Once you connect the water lines or place a new water bottle on the water cooler, check for leaks or seepage.
